The premise of Fusion Labs is that the nonproliferation domain, like many other domains, can be usefully conceptualsed and examined as a data domain. By compiling all available relevant data, new connections can be identified and new insights can be gleaned. 
The Proliferation Open Source Tool (POST) as a software architecture designed to achieve this. POST is an ambitious project through which to capture core data on nonproliferation in a structured way. Presently POST contains data on every country's nuclear and related ballistic missile programs. However, the core purpose of POST is not so much to hold this data, but to enable this data to be used to enrich additional data related to nonproliferation such as news articles, scientific publications, and historical documents. 
POST is thus to some extent a culmination of the various projects described on this site. It is a single unifying software architecture through which this data can be aggregated and through which the data can be presented to users in a useful way.
